Ready to break the exhaustion and step into empowerment?

I am here to make a difference in this world. To inspire, create, love. My soul’s mission is to empower women to live authentically and stand in their own truth.

My truth?Andrea Hood

After watching family members struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, body image issues, and emotional struggles, and years of suffering through it all myself, I vowed that the cycle would end with me. That I wouldn’t be the one who allowed the depression and loneliness consumer her any longer.

When I found myself unhappy, overweight, and seriously lacking energy and excitement in my mid-20’s, I knew I needed a serious overhaul. But I had no clue where to begin. I felt super lost and confused – and alone. (Which to me, is like the worst feeling everrrrr.)

So when I stumbled across the Institute for Integrative Nutrition one Saturday night while sipping wine on the couch, it peaked my interest. I thought, “Hmm – this might help me get my ass in gear!” I took action that week and signed up to become a certified health coach – and sure enough my life has never been the same. A whole new magical world opened up to me!  And new doors continue to open every time I turn around.

By surrounding myself with a community of like-minded women, and following the lead of mentors and coaches I’ve invested in myself, I was able to pull myself out of my funk and create the life I had always envisioned. I was able to get the clarity I needed to discover my true purpose in life.

I took a leap out of my own darkness and into the light by taking that first step – by taking a chance and investing in myself and my health (Note: mental health being huge here). I have learned that taking action when it comes to my life, and making my self-care a top priority, isn’t selfish – it’s extremely necessary so that I can fully shine and be the leader and coach I was destined to be.

I live life on my own terms, to my fullest potential – unapologetically – and I’m here to show you how to do the same. (This is the classy way of saying “I do whatever the F*ck I want!”)

My husband and I enjoying our Christmas vacation at the beach – BEST Christmas ever 🙂

  • I can eat ice cream like it’s nobody’s business – like demolish an entire pint in like 5 minutes or less. My husband wants to put me in an ice cream eating contest. It’s terrible, I know, but it’s my guilty pleasure {that and peanut butter}.
  • My dogs Annabelle, 8, and Gus, 6, both Shih Tzus are my kids. {and are also the cutest dogs in the World. That’s a fact.}
  • My husband and brother are my two very best friends. I love them both more than words could ever describe. The 3 of us make a great team.
  • Blue is my favorite color – all shades.
  • Traveling is my favorite thing to do in my spare time. I love exploring new places and meeting new people. The less-traveled places where cell phones don’t work are my favorite.
  • I love music. I love the feeling it gives me inside and I find it very moving. I love everything from Bob Segar, to Jason Aldean, to Mariah Carey, to Bob Marley, to Ray LaMontagne, to Notorious BIG. I love it ALL.
  • I bought my first pair of cowboy boots in the Fall of 2012 and wore them EVERY day for 6 months. Seriously.
  • I’m pretty much 1/2 country red neck and 1/2 sophisticated lady who enjoys the finer things in life.
  • I hate to clean. HATE IT.
